Very tasty homemade pizza. The thick crust pizza is more like a loaf of yummy buttery bread topped with delectable toppings. Great service. Would recommend to any out of towner try this place. Very small beer menu.

Picked up a pizza here around 2am last night (they're open til 4am everyday; how awesome is that??) and first, I couldn't believe I've never checked in and second, I was shocked to see I've never reviewed this place as I've been here 10 times, easy. Anyway, by far one of the top three pizza places in the Tampa/St. Pete area. Genuine NY style like it's actually made in NY, not some imitation NY pizza. Perfect crust - not too doughy or dry and not too thick on the edges. I'm not sure where they get their mozzarella and pepperoni from, but they're some of the best I've ever had. Very greasy, but that's what makes a good pizza, as far as I'm concerned. The mozzarella sticks are actually triangles but for $7.95 for three triangles, it's a little overpriced, as they're not that good. Which is ironic, considering how good the mozzarella on the pizza is. But the pizza more than makes up for that. The staff is always very, very nice and they have yet to screw up an order or not be on time with a carry out. The restaurant portion is very small and they do have regular Italian fare, which I've heard is very good and I will definitely try. It's just so hard to pass up their pizza. Also, be advised that parking is extremely limited so be prepared to take a little stroll if you go there during dinner hours, especially on the weekends. But all in all, for pizza in Florida, this is as good as it gets. I'm a loyal customer.

I visited this pizzeria after a strong recommendation made by an Italian New York City native. Like him I agree this is the best pizza in town. The most notable difference when you eat it is that it does not have that overwhelming salty taste found in so many other pizzas. I also had an anti pasta salad which was competitively priced and quite good with fresh vegetables. The pricing is based on the size of the pie and each topping is added separately. A medium pizza was about the size of a large pizza at other competitor places. Given the size of the pizza this place has good value. The setup of the restaurant is a dine in or take out, nothing fancy. But it's a pizzeria, and on the beach, so what can you expect . the negatives are mainly related to the logistics of getting your pizza. Parking spots are few and they don't have delivery.

Great service. Came in out had the baked ziti, really fresh, simply put, perfect. Family setting and relaxing. Check it out if in town.

This is some of the best pizza I've had in St. Pete. We had a pepperoni and fresh garlic pie and it was awesome. The sauce is sweet and flavorful and the dough was perfectly baked, not to thick or thin. It's tough to find good pizza in the Tampa Bay area but this is definitely a hidden gem for NY pizza. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It's definitely worth a try if you are craving pizza in St. Pete Beach.

Great pizza here! It's the best pizza you will find on the beaches, and they stay open late late! Skip the wine here, drink soft drinks or beer. you will not be disappointed.

I have been coming to this place for years and I still compare other pizza places to it. Best pizza sauce ever. So flavorful and unlike any other. Service is fast and friendly. If you dine in, you get their speciality bread "fagatze" and salad. My advice to anyone who is eating here with a group, get smaller (12-14") pizzas. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the crust on the larger pizzas is always limp and can become soggy. I know from years of experience. However, the pizza that comes in smaller sizes is pretty much perfect.

Our family visits every time we are in town. Best pizza around for sure! The meat lovers pie is the best way to go, although if your really hungry their monstrous stromboli is delicious too.

Went there last night after a lot of drinking. The waitress was so sweet and accommodating to our inebriation. She was bubbly and kind and made great suggestions. I tend to be the kind of Italian food patron that designs my own dish (I know that can be annoying to the chefs waitstaff but I am who I am) and normally I get annoyance states from staff but they liked my ideas so much they considered putting mine on menu! Definitely will be back,

2:30am on a Monday rolls around and we are starving and exhausted and I am craving pizza like a pregnant Woman craves McDonald's (is that not a thing? My Mom did.) Husband suggests going to Walmart and receives a dirty look. This is followed by "if you find it, I will drive you to it." I hop on to Yelp and what do I find? Vito & Michael's is open until 4am!! 4am? That has to be a mistake. A quick phone call later and we were on our way to St. Pete Beach. When we pulled up we walked in to pretty much what we expected costumer-wise. There was a guy that was higher than a kite on the bench, drunk couple being obnoxious just inside the door. She was falling all over everyone. He was excitedly yelling that the restaurant had pizza. Note to self: order a head of time next time. A few other tables had people eating. We ordered a large garbage pizza and a meatball sub to go. The lady behind the counter was really nice and I think she appreciated that we were sober and just looking for food. We shared a look and an understanding. She told us it was okay to wait in the empty part of the dining room while our food was made. Yay! Vito & Michael's is in a plaza and doesn't look like much on the outside. The dining room was actually quite comfortable and nice looking. We enjoyed the decor while we waited. When our food arrived, we hauled booty home to eat in peace. The pizza was incredible! I am by no means a pizza aficionado. I grew up in the Cincinnati area and I live in Florida. With that being said, this was some of the best pizza I have ever had. Phenomenal. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting from a beach restaurant that is open until 4am. We will make the drive again for that pizza. We even ate our crust! We never eat the crust. The meatball sub was good, but not great. I didn't love the meatballs...but I am super picky about my meatballs yo. The bread however was incredible. Soft, flaky, fresh baked and delish. It was also HUGE. I really loved their marinara sauce too. I would order a sandwich here again, but I would try something different next time. I also REALLY want to try the pasta. In short, Vito & Michael's is amazing. While I am SO happy that they are open until 4am, I would actually revisit this place during regular hours because the food was so good. They also had some specials advertised in the restaurant during "normal hours" that might be worth checking out.

Omg this is by far one f the best cheese slices I've had in a while! My boyfriend had the garbage slice and said it was really good as well. The cheese was gooey and melted to perfection. The slices take about three minutes where a whole pie takes about fifteen. The front counter staff were super friendly and seemed in good spirits. There were menues, napkins, and condiments easily available. Can order to go on paper plates to eat quickly and go :) Will definitely be back!

When traveling to St.Petersburg Beach stop by Vito and Michsel's Pizzeria. It best little secret on St. Petersburg Beach. I have eaten there several times over the years. They are open until 1 hour after the bars close. Being a driver this is important too me. It's an alternative to the fast food restaurants. The food is always fresh. My favorite dish is Chicken Marsala. With each entree you receive complimentary salad and garlic bread. So when ever you are in the in the area or just vacationing on the beach and your a little hungry or can't sleep stop by Vito and Michaels and give them a try. Tell them that DAN THE CAB MAN sent you.

We have been coming here for years on vacation and a very good friend of mine recommended a pizza place to us. The place is open til 3am in the morning and the food there is delicious. I always order the garbage pizza which is equivalent to a supreme pizza, but I asked to hold the mushrooms and add jalapeños. The service is amazing drinks were always full and no issues with the service at all. My friend did order Elfite pizza which she didn't enjoy because there was no sauce she can't remember what the menu said whether there was sauce or not supposed to be on the pizza. My pizza the garbage pizza was very juicy and tasty. The meat on the pizza was very think and full of flavor. I also ordered a side of marinara for the crust to dip it in which was also delightful. I would definitely recommend this place for a late night snack or even dinner with the family.

This is an awesome little seemingly hole in the wall restaurant on st pete beach. The restaurant is deceptively small from the outside but it's quite nice from the inside. The food is really good, whether it's the pasta, pizza or sandwiches. They are really cheap too especially their lunch specials. And what's really nice is that they're open til 4am so if you have a really late night (or I guess a far too early morning) and maybe drank too much, you need some carbs to soak up the booze, Vito and Michaels will be opened and ready for you. The service is great here. Everyone is super friendly even if the place is busy.

While me and my husband were out in the tow truck and close by I thought I remember this place everyone was talking about ..and they are open till 4am ..I called and ordered a garbage pie ..since we are always on the go ..we ate in the truck it smelled so good ..I had one piece and was full..it was one of the best pizzas I had ever had besides a certain place in New York city that has an awesome pie :) we will be returning

  • Cher W.

Pizza crust was very bland and sauce not that great. Plus, a thin crust with a soggy middle doesn't work for me. Maybe I am a pizza snob, but have lived here for a few years now and have tried all the pizza joints around here. None are that great.. but the cheese cake here is delicious. Service is very pleasant.

Nice place to just grab a slice or sit and dine, wine and beer too. They are open late and have four different types of slices ready :)

Absolutley delicious pizza folks. If you are visiting St. Pete and need an excellent place to take the family that is not too pricey or if you're on Spring break and just finished hours of sinful behavior then there is no better place to do this than here. My wife and I have already been here twice in three days and can't say it will be our last before our vacation is over. Locals and travelers love it young and old and there is a reason why. Go try it. You will not regret it. Check out my pic too! If what you see in that picture doesn't appeal to you please go straight to the ER to be checked. Good night people.

Definitely NOT a tourist trap. Real New York style pizza. Amazing crust. Absolutely delicious! Many larger cities don't have a pizza joint that even comes close to this. We were told that there were originally three italian owners from NYC and only one owns it now. We sat near him at our first of two outings here. Had the accent and certainly looked the part. Plenty of seating. Very casual. We all loved the pizza and salads were good as well. Our pizza came with complimentary bread sticks and salad. The waitress brought out sample tastings of the cannoli filling which was incredible. We were in St Pete beach only 2 days and ate Here twice. Not our norm at all. Don't miss it

Why go up North when you can eat here and have a beach nearby. I have eaten here for years. . Spinach and Shrimp pizza us so good. Hand spun pizza - and Italian food that is great and the price is very reasonable. You get salad and bread included. Hate getting back on the plane.

Love this place for Pizza. Tonight tried takeout for baked dishes Lasagna & Eggplant Parm: Lasagna: excellent size enough for dinner tonight & lunch tomorrow ! Great layering of noodles(al dente not gummy)& ricotta, topped with mozzarella in tasty tomato meat sauce. Eggplant Parmesan with side of linguini: Again enough for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Thick layer of breaded fried eggplant baked in a great sauce and hot bubbly mozzarella! Each meal comes with HOMEMADE garlic bread, more like a focaccia. Soft, fresh roasted garlic! Awesome! And a GARDEN SALAD, NO iceberg lettuce or unripe tomatoes here! Cold fresh green romain lettuce, shredded carrots and red cabbage and fresh ripe diced tomatoes with a red wine vinaigrette in separate container, So: hot food is hot, cold food is cold, everything prepared like I would at home but am too tired to do after a long workday! :-) and priced right! My new favorite italian take out joint

We walked in and sat in the back. The waitress came over, sat at the table, and said "you aren't 21!" I put that aside and we proceeded to attempt to order. I wanted a simple margarita pizza and the waitress gave me such attitude, and suggested that I go next door to get it. She said thy had plenty of other good pizzas and she doesn't understand why I would order "off the menu" and then said "the cooks are gonna be pissed". She then quite frankly called us mass holes, made other off color comments and laughed at our requests. To be fair, my "special" pizza was delicious, and the other food we ordered was tasty. I wouldn't recommend any person be waited on by this waitress. She was offensive, rude, and disrespectful.

hadn't been here in a while. Have to drop my five-star rating to a 2-stars. Very disappointing as this was a beach "love" spot. Prices are up. Their lunch special has a "gourmet" slice for $3 (plain cheese for $2). I ordered the "garbage" pizza which is sposed to have sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, onion and mushroom on it. It did come huge-the size of a plate. It seemed old and lukewarm. It had one fleck of sausage and one pepperoni, maybe 3 pieces of green pepper and a whole lotta onion. Their crust is super thin. It probably would've been decent if it were fresh and hot. They have many lunch specials for about $7.50. The place is pretty rundown. Guess I'm in search of a new beach place.

    (2)
  • Sloppy J.

Absolutely the best pizza and subs on the beach. Meatball sub is just as perfect at 5 pm as it is at 3am!!!

Want a large slice of pizza you may feel the need to fold, and then overeat? This is Brooklyn/North-End Boston pizza that you're lucky to find anywhere. If you like Chicago style pizza better, OK. But you have to try stuff like this too. They don't deliver, but it's a short drive from any St Pete Beach hotel. Best pizza outside of the Northeast, US (along with 5 Boroughs Chicago). Must try if you want NYC style pizza in Florida.

My boyfriend absolutely loves their pizza along with calzones. They have excellent desserts. I live close to its a nice convenient place with good food. I will say its slightly too expensive to go to all the time, but I can't complain because you do get excellent food for your money. I have not sat inside and eaten, I always get food to go so I am not sure how the environment exactly is, but good food.

Food was excellent, we are from the northeast and definitely picky about pizza. Tomato Caprese was fresh. Woman who waited on us was awesome too

A group of us were staying in the St Pete area and we went to a concert in the Tampa area and when we got back to our hotel it was super late and we were starving so we found this place which was almost the only place open in the area. When we came in it was a little chaotic, but the lady on the register was really nice and patient with everyone. I didn't get a chance to go into the dinning room but it looked quite small even though there was people coming in and out the entire time we were there waiting. The place was a small hole in the wall but it seems like a super popular place. We ordered to go and we each ordered separate but the food was out in a timely matter and we didn't wait too long. The other girls ordered a slice of pizza each and I ordered a calzone. Their pizzas looked delicious and they all agreed that they were amazing. The calzone I ordered had pepperoni and green peppers inside and I don't know if it was because I was starving or because it was actually good, but it was one of the best calzones I have had. The seasoning was spot on and the crust was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I also thought all of our items were reasonable priced, which is always a good thing.

The Zuppa Di Mare (clams, calamari, shrimp, crab, and mussels in a seafood broth) is out of this world! Keeps us coming back at least once a month. This is where the locals go for pizza and believe it or not, soup!

  • Thomas A.

I don't normally eat New York Style pizza, but I like Vito & Michael's! I work nearby and have purchased the '2 slice and a soda deal' (5 bucks!) for lunch many times. Super fast, very friendly, incredibly cheap, AND it's a nice quiet sit-down lunch with the atmosphere of a restaurant. WAY better lunch choice than a generic fast food spot where you eat on a paper wrapper amidst a din of music, screaming kids and yelling (and it's cheaper). The pizza crust, while thin, is not a limp, oily dishrag of a slice - it's snap-crisp and served hot (they "freshen" the slices in the oven before you get them). I love bringing in my newspaper and taking my time with a relaxing meal...they never rush you out the door either.

    (4)
  • Gaetano P.

I long considered this as the best pizza in Tampa bay. Not anymore. They've gone downhill to a point that I can't eat this pizza anymore. The eggplant and ricotta pizza was the best around. Now it taste bad and sends you to the toliette.

  • Tony H.

Very, very friendly waitress. She said she had ben there a really long time. All the food looked amazing. I had some sort of Seafood with marinara sauce on pasta (can't remember the name), but it was around the $12 or $14 mark. It was extremely tasty and a TON of food. It had all sorts of sea creatures in it, which I gladly consumed. This place looks like a whole in the wall, and probably would be considered such, but those places always have the best food. This place was really good. Give it a shot. Oh and weirdly enough, the salad and rolls were excellent too!

    (4)
  • Jacqueline H.

Best calzone I've ever had! If you are dining in, you'll get a fresh salad with your lunch. My mom got the chicken cesear salad which was HUGE and delicious according to her. This place is great and open super late!

    (5)
  • Rick F.

Asked a few locals where we should go for good pizza. They all said Vito and Michael's. The type of pizza I usually prefer is a "Louisville" style pizza. Meaning hand tossed and so many toppings, and so much cheese it's almost over bored. The thin crust, light toppings and sparse cheese usually isn't my thing. The pizza was good for what it was, but don't expect a lot of toppings and cheese.

    (3)
  • Rachel S.

AMAZZZZING!!!! BEST PIZZA IN FL!!! ...& I am from NY so that has to tell you something! :) The sauce, the cheese, the dough... Wow, wOw & WOW! I live in Tampa & will now be crossing the bridge when having people over to pick up pie from here! The pizza is THAT GOOD!!! & they are open 'til 4am... so if you're staying at the beach & there is no late night room service menu - call VITO & MICHAEL's!!! I just had it this past weekend and I'm already craving it again... BEST PIZZA!! MMMM!!!!

  • Malia M.

Great selection that won't disappoint! Who knew that this very unsuspecting pizza joint would turn out to be such high quality dining. There is limited parking and it can get pretty loud depending on number of people there. Overall happy with the experience.

  • Rose R.

Pizza is good but service is not. Ordered take-out, was told it would be ready in 35 minutes, got there in 40-45 minutes and was told that we were late and that they gave our calamari to another customer!?! What's up with that? Then we had to wait 15-20 minutes for them to make it and they didn't offer anything for making us wait! The whole point of calling it in was so that we wouldn't have to wait or battle for a parking space, which was the reason we arrived a little later because of 2-3 cars leaving at once in that cramped parking lot. So disappointing to find out that the calamari was not worth waiting for, it was cakey and tasteless. Calzone was good though a bit too salty and the Caprese salad was definitely not worth the price.

  • Kelleigh M.

I'm dinging them one star because my pizza crust was a little soggy in the middle. Where they excelled was: Free focaccia and fresh salad. The salad was nothing fancy but consisted of freshly cut romaine (no iceberg) and great vinegrette dressing. Their prices are great. We ordered 2 large pizzas and had plenty to take home. 2 slices is plenty for each person, especially considering the free focaccia and salad. Each pizza was $20 and full of toppings. If youre on the beach and are in the mood for pizza and don't want to break the bank, Vito and michaels is a good choice.

Great pizza and open late. Never had a bad experience here. Only complaint is the PARKING or lack there of.

    (4)
  • Jen R.

I wasn't expecting good pizza in Florida, so I wasn't disappointed. The spinach pie and a ham and pineapple pie were tasty, but when every pizza is measured against New Haven's brick ovens, very few pizzas measure up. Still, for Florida, this was a good effort.

Checking in again at a pizza place. From NJ so this was interesting again. I had the lunch special and ordered a plain slice (please keep it in the oven longer to crisp the crust) as well as the chicken parm sandwich. The bread was great, I believe homemade but the chicken was terrible. Maybe a bad batch from their supplier but really dry and not so tasty. Their red sauce is ok here. The service is always good for me here. I would recommend this place. Don't expect outstanding, but expect ok.

  • Patrick G.

Great pizza! Giant slices of outstanding pizza, their simple cheese pizza was one of the best I've had and the specialty slices available made it hard not to come back again during our short stay on the island. Their salad was fresh and hit the spot on a hot day and my son devoured his spaghetti and meatballs without saying a word until done when he almost ordered a second helping to go!

Did not like the pizza at all. I love pizza and have to say pizza is one of those foods that you have to have down to a science for that "crust" if you don't it just ruins everything else. It was not crispy enough and we ordered the thin version and there was hardly no to none on the sauce, which made the pizza dry!!! Place has a good rating and very busy, but I would never go back...

Still bangin' spot on!!! Even a very simply salad- romaine, carrots shavings, slivered red cabbage, tomato chunks- was so fresh, crispy, and expertly dressed w/ a simple oil and vinegar vinegrette, was brought to a sublime level of refreshment. That and the homemade pizza-style foccacia that comes at the start is enough to call it a meal and leave happy!!! Then the real meals-- specatacular! Spinach cooked to velvet, tossed with garlic, oil, fresh briny shrimps, chunks of tender white meat chicken, and mini zitis-- rich yet healthy perfection! Red sauces are bright and full of ripe tomato flavor; pasta is always perfect al dente; nice wine list, we stuck with Italian beers (Marretti-- good, simple refreshing lager). MMMMMMM!!!!

this is NOT Chicago Style Pizza... It's NYC - NJ pizza !!! This is so much better than deep dish chicago stuff ! I know I was born in NJ move to Chicago in1979. If you're here in St. Pete/Tampa/Treasure Is. area & need northern pizza here it is. Come in ....Sit... Mangia

Expensive and boring stromboli. The thing is packed with meat (all flavorless) and costs around $13 and is accompanied by the most bland sauce imaginable. An Italian restaurant is judged by its sauce, no? Also, canned tomatoes on the cheese bread. The whole meal was lacking.

    (2)
  • Ciji C.

OK, so after consulting with the reviews we decided to give this place a shot & I've got to say we were disappointed. Another commenter said they had soggy pizza & ours was too. I did see that review but disregarded it due to the other positive reviews. Our pizza was underwhelming to say the least and both my husband and I ate just enough to not be hungry and tossed more than half of the pie. The pizza over all was lacking in flavor (we ordered half sausage/half pepperoni), the sauce was bland, the sausage was bland & our pizza was soggy. Wouldn't go back.

Was in Treasure Island for vacation, found this little place in a strip plaza next to a convenient store. I must say, this is a gem. the lunch specials are great and the pizza was delish. The only bad I can point out is the parking is a real problem. Other than that it is worth the try you wont be disappointed..

Great, friendly service! They make the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had! They're handmade in house with double the cheese so they are extra stringy.

We like Vito and michael's pizza, and the fried sides are pretty good too. We stopped in to try some pasta, and we were disappointed, the cream they used for my Alfredo was spoiled so it was pretty nasty. We do a pizza night on our saint Pete trips, and we'll keep coming here.

The pizza here is amazing. It's delicious and awesome, the prices are good, and they stay open super late.

Vito & Michael's is a great choice for a pie or a meal. First off, they are one of the few places on the southern beaches that is open for food until 3am. They also have pizza by the slice, which again is handy for the after drinking crowd. But they also do a very decent Italian entree, such as Eggplant Parmesan, lasagna, and angel hair. Our favorite is the Barone pizza, thick crust with pepperoni, garlic and pesto. # of Times: 50 Consistency: Excellent

Had been having a string of disappointing restaurant experiences while on vacation and finally had enough and decided to drive around looking for a place to fill up on a ton of pasta (we had been eating like birds up until this point). That's when we took a stab in the dark at Vito & Michael's. There's a pizza parlor side and a restaurant side. The pizza guys greet you with a New York attitude, which I actually enjoy but might put off some people. The staff in the restaurant, however, are super friendly. I ordered exactly what I wanted, a big plate of spaghetti ("sloppy spaghetti" as I like to call it). It was exactly what I needed; not some high brow pasta dish, but just some Italian-diner red sauce and pasta. My husband ordered the ziti, which was extra cheesy and delicious. The salad that was served with it was good, but nothing special. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a casual restaurant to eat at with friendly service and good prices.

First, the positives: the service here was fabulous. We ordered the fried cheese ravioli as an appetizer, and they were delicious. Also, they do have canned sodas and bottled beer/wine, so for those of us unable to drink Florida's water, that's a draw. Sadly, we went there for pizza, and that was a big disappointment. I have to agree with another reviewer--the "fresh" tomatoes were not. They were almost certainly from a can. That seemed weird to me. I mean, this is Florida and they can't get fresh produce? Also, our pizza was supposed to have pesto on it. It didn't. It had pesto flavored ricotta cheese. A last warning: the pizzas are HUGE. We ordered a medium and it was the size of most place's larges. Even for a "NY style pizza" (which it was too thick to be), it was larger than I expected it to be.

Excellent hand tossed pizza. It arrived very hot out of the oven. One bite and I could tell that this place knows how to make a pizza. They use quality ingredients and you can taste the differance. The sauce stood out to me. Can't wait to have my leftovers tomorrow.

I've been back once a week since my first review and find them to be equally consistent and good. I also thought it worth noting something for a couple folks who have posted: Depending on what you order on a pizza, those vegetables can sweat. Especially if you order either pepperoni or green peppers. I'd wager in most cases that if you are complaining about soggy pizza, you probably didn't get a simple plain pie. This isn't to say that pies shouldn't be made right especially when you add toppings. I'm just offering up that some toppings cause grease or liquids that will cause this to happen, especially if those vegetables are fresh. As far as taste, to teach their own. I had a garbage pie last week. It was a soggy mess. I expected nothing less because I understand the ingredients and it tasted wonderful.

This place is a gem. It's a "divey", "whole in the wall" kind of spot, but the focus is all on the food. Everything I've had here is absolutely delicious and authentic. The lunch menu is simple but awesome, with low prices to match. Dinner is a bit more pricey but still very affordable. One of the coolest perks about this place is that's it's open til 2 or 3am! It may not be the greatest service or atmosphere, but you'll leave more than satisfied with leftovers for later!

Love the garbage pizza, good salad and bread. Would have given 5 stars if they'd turn up the a/c...too hot in there.

Good NY style pizza. Prices are OK - we paid about $18 for a one-topping large 18" pizza.

GOOD Pizza - the kind of place you go to when you are looking for good pizza - not the stuff you need to chase with a beer...!! Salad arrives before the pizza (dine-in) as well as a basket of bread?? The bread I didnt understand with a pizza coming out !! :) Plenty of toppings! Always a good thing !!

I have to say that if you are in the area and are looking for some good casual italian food or pizza this is the place to go. I stumbled upon this place years ago and have been a regular ever since. It is a casual little beach restaurant. Prices are low, service is good and food is great. Trust me on this one...I know my pizza!

Excellent pizza! Crispy crust, not greasy. Real sausage, not pork pellets. Real mozzarella. Tasty sauce, not too sweet. Very reminiscent of the pizza of my childhood in Brooklyn. Will definitely frequent this restaurant.

My mouth waters for Vito's pizza. Small place, open for lunch and dinner. Not much to look at, but the food will make your stomach smile. Cheap slices of pizza and a drink if that's what you're looking for, as well as typical Italian dishes. Friendly staff, I think they're all mostly from Lithuanian.. I had a friend of a friend that worked there, pretty sure it's family owned. But amazing!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
